| Deep hues of golden and crimson mixed across the horizon as the sun was beginning to set on the islands, signaling the end of another beautiful day already come and gone. The farther of the two islands, which made up the small world known as Destiny Island, was rather deserted by this point. All the young adventurers that usually roamed it's sandy terrain were all at home, safe in their houses. However, on this particular day, there was one lone figure left. Sitting on the paopu tree which overlooked the brilliant ocean, was a dark haired women. Dressed in an outfit of outlandish clothing, a set of unique robes to be precise. Her deep brown eyes were focused on the sun as it continued to slip slowly below the water's edge, bringing with it the darkness of night. Soon the island would be blanketed in dark skies and brightly shinning stars. Letting herself fall back on to the abornally shaped trunk of the paopu tree, Rose sounded with a sigh of relief. She let her eyes close for a moment or so as the sound of waves lightly hitting the shore was the only thing she could hear. It was calming, and at the moment, rather pleasing. This was the moment of peace she had been wanting for a long time now but had not been able to obtain until this point in time.
Taking in a few deep breaths she continued to listen to the sounds of the ocean, letting each one out nice and slow. Then, as the last few inches of the sun sank completely from sight and the night sky had finally taken over completely, she slowly re-opened her eyes to the sight she had been waiting to see. The sight of the stars above, which on this night, seem more beautiful than usual. A smirk appeared on Rose's face as she lost herself in those stars, letting herself stare at them in all their glory, falling into a light daze as she did. If there was anyone left, roaming around the island, then she would be completely unaware of them. For the moment, it was just her and these brilliant stars, together in one peaceful moment. | |
